Silk is a craft cocktail lounge on Genesee Street in downtown Utica. Eleven savory plates, nine desserts, and a bar program that does not cut corners, all made in house. We are looking for people who hold the same standard we do.

Bartender

Embark on a journey of mixology with Silk as a Bartender, a role that goes beyond just pouring drinks, but conjures up a sensory spectacle in every glass.

As the virtuoso behind the bar, you'll mix and serve a spellbinding array of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Each concoction you craft is not just a drink, but a delightful escape served to our guests at the bar or in our dining room through our attentive wait staff.

More than just a bartender, you're a service-oriented connoisseur, armed with a rich knowledge of the spirits and foods we serve. You understand the art and science of pairing, creating an upscale and unforgettable experience that takes our guests on a gastronomic journey they won't soon forget.

Cook

Silk is a craft cocktail lounge in downtown Utica with a food program built to impress. The Silk Lineup is bold, non-traditional, and meant to be shared, and every plate that leaves this kitchen has to earn that reputation. This role executes it.

You will prep, cook, and plate to spec under the direction of our kitchen leadership. This kitchen runs on discipline: prep is done before it's needed, stations are stocked before service, and downtime is work time. Phone use during your shift is zero. Use company time effectively or go home. If that sounds harsh, this isn't the kitchen for you. If that sounds like how a real kitchen should run, keep reading.

Server

Silk is a craft cocktail lounge in downtown Utica with a food program built to impress. The Silk Lineup is bold, non-traditional, and meant to be shared, and many guests don't know it exists yet. You are the person who changes that, table by table. Serving here means guiding guests through the menu, selling the experience with confidence, and delivering service that matches the standard of everything else in this building.

This role is not limited to your section. You are a working member of the whole operation: you assist front of house and back of house wherever the business needs you, and you clean to management and ownership standards at the end of every shift, every time. Phone use during your shift is zero. If you want a job where you drop checks and disappear, this is not it.
