Master of Elixirs | Bartender

As the virtuoso behind the bar, you'll mix and serve a spellbinding array of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Each concoction you craft is not just a drink, but a delightful escape served to our guests at the bar or in our dining room through our attentive wait staff.

JOB DUTIES
Greets all guests within 30 seconds of approaching the bar and/or service area
Knows all standard drink recipes, wine, and beer offerings, and is able to follow an established bar book/manual
Pours consistent and proper measures of alcohol and wine
Has complete knowledge of all menu items and is able to serve in accordance with company service standards
Stays current with bar trends and recipes
Contributes to menu planning by developing specialty cocktails and menu items that fit the current season
Follows alcohol awareness procedures to prevent over-serving
Collects proper payment for all food and beverage service at the bar following company accounting procedures
Ensures all guest orders have been entered through the POS system prior to filling the order
Efficiently transfer bar tabs to the correct server and/or table for guest convenience
Ensures efficient, clear, and consistent communication between the bar and wait staff to prevent lost orders and/or charges
Answers the phone and assists guests when the manager and/or host are unavailable
Provides alcoholic beverage education to wait staff and other front-of-house employees
Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains any/all bar tools and equipment
Maintains bar stock and rotation of product
Is conscious of waste. Cuts fruit and opens mixers and other perishable items only as needed.
Sets up and breaks down the bar according to established guidelines with consideration of the following shift.
Communicates to supervisor all significant matters and assists in proper corrective action.
Maintains and respectful and cooperative working relationship with all staff members.
Maintains and polished and professional appearance.
Presents and positive and supportive image of the company.
Side duties include cleaning, stocking, and maintaining all aspects of the bar as well as other duties specified by the manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this position.
Must have a minimum of 1 year of bartending experience
Must be outgoing, pleasant, and have the desire to provide an upscale and unforgettable experience to all guests
Must be willing to learn and share what you have learned with other staff members
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for 8 hours
Must be a team player and be willing to work in a team environment
COMPENSATION
$15-19/hour, depending on experience
